When selecting one of our two agencies, please note that most of our caregivers work for both. However, there is no difference in the quality of their work, whether they are an employee or a contract staff. They are all AMAZING!

Home health agencies can either be Medicare certified or Private duty.

We’re Always There is a private duty home health agency.

Self-pay or Long-Term Care Insurance accepted.

Nurse Registry CONSUMER Directed Care –

Nurse registries were designed specifically for affordability. Contract Staff are referred to you for services.

Our compensation is a referral fee.

Self-pay and Long-Term Insurance accepted.


Our home health agency nursing staff oversee patient care and supervise our caregivers. Visits to the home are made by a registered nurse who will evaluate the employee’s performance, review the care plan/current medications with the client or clients representative and may make any adjustments at that time.

Supervisory visits and the initial nursing assessment are not billed separately, they are included in our services.


Our nurse registry provides an initial visit to gather required information and documentation.

Our registry does not monitor, supervise, or train the caregivers that we refer to you. They follow your direction, and must stay within the scope of their license.

A nurse visit may be requested, and a fee charged.


Your caregiver is our employee and with that comes protection for you.

They are covered under Workers Compensation Insurance, General and Professional Liability Insurance, including theft and non-owned auto coverage, federal and state unemployment insurance, any and all payroll costs.

Your caregiver is an independent contractor. Each caregiver carries their own general liability insurance in the amounts of $1,000,000/6,000,000.

There is no Worker’s Compensation coverage.

Common Questions About Our Home Care Services

1. What can I expect during the first home care visit?

It would depend on the level of care requested.

2. How often will my visits be?

Visits are set up on an ongoing regular schedule with a once-a-week 4 hour minimum.

3. Will We’re Always There - Customized Home Care create a personalized plan for me or my loved one?
AGENCY directed care – YES, RN will create a personalized care plan
NURSE REGISTRY consumer directed care – NO personalized plan is created, often times client will create a to
do list

4. Who is eligible for home care?

There is no eligibility determination. Anyone with the ability to pay can receive care.

5. Will my insurance cover home care services?

Our primary function is custodial care. In most cases custodial care is only covered under a long-term care insurance policy. We recommend that the client contact his/her insurance company for eligibility and information.

6. What if I need care for two people?

We offer a couple’s care rate at time and one-half the regular rate. Some stipulations apply.

7. What if I have pets?

At the time of the consultation, a representative from the agency would determine if we would take responsibility for the pet. Determined on a case-by-case basis.

8. What if I only need personalized services once a week or once a month?

We have a once-a-week 4 hour minimum.

9. Do I have to have a set schedule or can I use the personalized services as I need them?
As an independent contractor, they would be responsible for any injuries they carry their
own liability insurance.
As an employee they are covered under our workers compensation policy.
10. What happens if a home health aide or CNA is injured while at my home?

As an independent contractor, they would be responsible for any injuries they carry their own liability insurance.

11. Do you offer overnight care?

Yes, it’s awake care. Billed at the same hourly rate.

12. Who should consider home care?

Anyone that needs assistance with activities of daily living.

14. What was the motivation behind starting Always There Affordable Home Care?

I had already opened a licensed home health agency and would receive inquiries for service that chose another more affordable option. Often, people would comment that services were too expensive, or we do not need a nurse to come out for homemaking. It made sense to offer a different, more affordable option.

18. Do caregivers go shopping/run errands for clients? Do they provide transportation and accompany clients while they shop/run errands? What kind of shopping/errands?

Yes, they can do both. Any errands and appointments. The caregiver may drive the client’s vehicle. The fee for mileage if the caregiver’s vehicle is used is the current IRS allowable rate.
